First clearings
Settlement of Walser colonists from Upper Valais in Vallorcine and beginning of mountain clearing.
First alpine pasture
Official establishment of the communal alpine pasture at Plan de l'Au with 25 sheepfolds.
New site
Relocation of the alpine pasture to a safer site, construction of a 1km irrigation canal.
Major renovation
Complete reconstruction of the stone barns and dairy.
Transformation into refuge
Conversion of the former chavanne (cheese dairy) into a staffed mountain refuge.
